National Censors Board slashes film distribution licensing fee


The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) has cut down the film distribution licensing fee from N500,000 to N200,000.
According to Patricia Bala, acting DG of the board, who made this known in a recent stakeholders meeting, the cut is aimed at restructuring the board’s New Distribution and Exhibition Framework (NDEF).
The reduction would have National Distributors paying N200,000 as against N500,000, Regional Distributors paying N100,000 as against N50,000 and Community Distributors paying N10,000 as against N25,000.
In addition, license renewal fee has also been reduced with National Distributors now paying N100,000, Regional Distributors, N25,000 and Community Distributors, N10,000.
