President Goodluck Jonathan has sworn-in the four new ministers, who were cleared by the National Assembly. They include Ibrahim Shekarau, Stephen Oru, Adedayo Adeyeye and Abdul Bulama. Mr. Shekarau, a former Kano State governor, decamped from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Gunmen kill 5 women in Southern Kaduna village

Despite the heavy presence of security personnel in Kafanchan, gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen on Saturday attacked Goska village in Jema’a local government area, of Kaduna state, killing five (5) people and burning most houses in the village. DAILY POST reports that the attackers invaded the village around 7pm on Saturday evening as villagers were preparing for evening church service to mark Christmas eve.
